Rock information:
Fines: is a granite screening, it is in crush & run and can be used under pavers for a patio or pathway.
1/2” Crusher Run: a combination of fines and #789 granite. The most popular use is for driveways.
#789 Granite: 1/2” size granite, washed stone, free of fines. It is in crush and run, can be used for multiple projects: top dressing on driveways or french drains.
#57 Granite: size of granite is 3/4” to 1”, washed stone. It is also suitable for a driveway; it has also been used for septic repair.
#5 Granite: size is 1” to 1 & 1/2”, washed stone. Most commonly used for drainfields. Also can be used as a driveway, only concern with driveways is the rock size is large, #57 is the largest sized rock we recommend for driveways.
#4 Granite: 1 & 1/2” to 2” size, washed stone. This rock can be used to fill in holes but we do not recommend using it for top dressing on a driveway, the size can cause injury when walking across it.
Rip Rap: one-man stone, the sizes vary from bowling ball size to small boulder. Widely used for erosion control, ends of culverts or building up seawalls.
Recycled Concrete / Asphalt: both materials are produced locally and can be used for driveways. Because they are not uniformly generated, the sizes will vary.
Railroad Base Fill: excavated from the newly closed railroad tracks, this local product is an alternative road or driveway base. It is comparable to granite fines and will compact.
Crimson Stone: both sizes are suitable for a driveway. It is most commonly used as landscape decorative rock. The crimson stone is mined in Alabama and is a lava rock.
River Rock: available in 3 sizes: small, medium and large. A round smooth stone mined in the upper Carolina’s, it can be used for a variety of projects from landscape to patios or driveways.
Masonry Sand: different from mortar sand, this sand can be used in a child’s sandbox. It does not have any type of gravel mixed in. It is also used under pavers combined with granite fines or under above ground pools.
Mulch information:
Our wood waste is transformed and recycled into various by-products. The type of mulch available is based on the specific quantity of material we receive to process. All debris is from the Lowcountry, recycled for reuse by the community.
Lowcountry Blended Mulch: the largest mulch mixture processed. It consists of triple sized mulch with a bigger range of sizes. Suggested for any areas prone to washout or on the side of a sloped area. Refer to FAQ’s
Lowcountry Triple Mulch: processed three times, this mulch is a small size, easily spread between small plants and flowers. Refer to FAQ’s
Garden Mulch: this product is extremely fine, has started the break-down process; ideal for starting gardens. Refer to FAQ’s
Hickory Mulch: 100% recycled hickory bark and hickory trees, dark in color with the hickory aroma present. Refer to FAQ’s
Colored Mulch: blended mulch colored with eco-friendly colorant in shades of red, golden cypress and brown. Safe for plants, animals and human contact. Refer to FAQ’s

Soil Information:
Fill Dirt: used in slab foundations, can be used to build up a lot, or for grading purposes in residential or commercial projects. This soil will not be an ideal material for planting or growing grass.
Organic Topsoil: perfect for use in gardens, growing flowers and plants, or as a starting layer for sod or other grass growth. This product will contain some organic material as it is naturally cured soil.
